Professional Video Surveillance System Installer – CCTV

Position Overview:

Rate: $55 per hour
Location: On-site

CanDat Systems is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Professional Video Surveillance System Installer – CCTV to provide service in Vancouver and the surrounding Lower Mainland areas of BC, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for the site survey, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of video surveillance systems, ensuring the highest quality service. Training and manufacturer certification is provided. Work is performed on-site in Vancouver and the surrounding Lower Mainland areas of BC, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
– Installation: Perform the installation and configuration of Axis video surveillance systems, including cameras, recorders, and other related equipment.
– Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing maintenance and repair services for existing surveillance systems, addressing any technical issues and ensuring optimal performance.
– Support: Communicate effectively, ensuring that installations meet security needs and provide system training as required.
– System Configuration: Set up, configure, and fine-tune surveillance systems based on site requirements and specifications.
– Documentation: Maintain accurate installation and service records, including system configurations and maintenance logs.
– Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and other technicians to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications:
– Axis Certification: Must be willing to become an Axis Certified Professional (ACP) for the installation and support of Axis video surveillance systems.
– Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing and maintaining video surveillance systems.
– Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IP cameras, network video recorders (NVR), and surveillance software.
– Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
– Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoor and indoor installations, and lift or move equipment as necessary.
– Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Valid Driver’s License: Required for travel to client locations throughout Vancouver and surrounding areas.
